What we collect and why
Each part of the website that handles personal data is described below: what it collects, why, on which legal basis, who receives it and how long it is kept.
When you visit the website
- What
- Your IP address, the date and time, the page you ask for, the page you came from, and the type of browser and device.
- Why
- To send you the pages, to keep the website running and to find faults.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in running the website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Who receives it
- Our hosting provider.
- How long
- Only briefly. The logs are deleted automatically.
Keeping the website safe
- What
- Your IP address and the technical details of each request. When you send a form, also a one-way code made from your email address, which cannot be turned back into the address.
- Why
- To block attacks, and to limit how often the forms can be sent from one connection and how many confirmations one email address receives.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in the security of the website and of the people who use it (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Who receives it
- The security service of our hosting provider.
- How long
- The counts last a few minutes. We do not store them.
The distributor application
- What
- Your full name, company name, job title, company website if you give it, country, email address and phone number, and your answers to the three questions on the form. To stop spam, the form also sends the time it was opened, a hidden field that people leave empty, and the result of the security check described below.
- Why
- To assess your application and to contact you about working together as a distributor.
- Legal basis
- Steps you ask us to take before we enter into a contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). The spam checks rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the form safe (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Who receives it
- Our team, by email, through an email delivery service and our email provider. The website itself keeps no copy.
- How long
- We keep applications and messages for as long as we need them to answer you and follow up, and no longer than two years, unless you become a partner. Then the partnership's own terms apply.
The confirmation of your application
- What
- Your email address, the date, a reference, your country and your three answers. It never repeats anything else you typed.
- Why
- To confirm that we received your application.
- Legal basis
- Steps you ask us to take before we enter into a contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- Who receives it
- An email delivery service, which sends it to the address you gave.
- How long
- The delivery service keeps a record of the delivery for a short time. We limit how many confirmations one address can receive.
The contact form
- What
- Your full name, email address and country, the topic and the market you choose, and your message; also your company name and phone number, if you give them. To stop spam, the form also sends the time it was opened, a hidden field that people leave empty, and the result of the security check described below.
- Why
- To answer your message and to follow up.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in answering questions, or steps you ask us to take before we enter into a contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) or (b)).
The confirmation of your message
- What
- Your email address, the date, a reference, and the topic, market and country you chose. It never repeats anything you typed.
- Why
- To confirm that we received your message.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in letting you know that your message arrived (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Who receives it
- An email delivery service, which sends it to the address you gave.
- How long
- The delivery service keeps a record of the delivery for a short time. We limit how many confirmations one address can receive.
The security check on the forms
- What
- Technical details about your browser and device, such as your IP address and how your browser behaves. The check runs only on the pages with a form (Become a distributor and Contact), and keeps one item of its own in your browser (see our cookie policy).
- Why
- To tell people from automated programs, so the forms are not used for spam or abuse.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in keeping the forms safe (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Who receives it
- A security service that tells people from automated programs.
- How long
- Only as long as the check needs. We receive the result, not these details.
When you email us
- What
- Your email address and what you write to us.
- Why
- To answer you and to follow up.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in answering questions, or steps you ask for before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) or (b)).

Your cookie settings
- What
- Your choice in Cookie settings, once you save it.
- Why
- So the website remembers your choice.
- Legal basis
- Our legitimate interest in respecting your choice (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Who receives it
- No one. It stays in your own browser and is never sent to us.
- How long
- 12 months, or until you clear your browser.
We do not use analytics or tracking tools. If we ever add a way to measure visits, we will update this policy first, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Who receives your data
We share your data only with the people and services that need it for the purposes above:
- Our team, to handle your application or your message.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the website and its security service.
- An email delivery service, which sends the emails from the forms.
- Our email provider, which runs our mailbox.
- A security service that tells people from automated programs, on the pages with a form.
- Advisers and authorities, only when the law requires it.
Our providers may use your data only for us, under an agreement with us. On request, we tell you which providers receive your data.
Outside the European Economic Area
Some providers process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). When they do, your data is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep your data
We keep applications and messages for as long as we need them to answer you and follow up, and no longer than two years, unless you become a partner. Then the partnership's own terms apply.
- Server logs: only briefly, then they are deleted automatically.
- Security counts: a few minutes.
- Your cookie settings: 12 months, in your own browser.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the data we have about you (access);
- have it corrected if it is wrong (correction);
- have it deleted (deletion);
- have its use limited (restriction);
- object to its use (objection);
- receive it in a common format, or have it sent to someone else (portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we asked for it;
- complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
To use your rights, email info@aksonex.com. We answer within one month.
Visitors in Brazil and the United Arab Emirates have similar rights under their own laws.
No selling, no profiling
We never sell your data. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we make no decisions about you by automated means alone. The security check on the forms only decides whether a person is sending the form.
How we protect your data
Every connection to the website is encrypted. Only the people who need your data can see it. The website keeps no copy of applications or messages, and our providers protect your data under their agreements with us.
Changes to this policy
We publish every change on this page, with the date of the new version. When a change matters for data we already have, we also tell you directly, for example by email.
What this website stores in your browser is explained in our cookie policy.
